Cikampek and MBZ Toll Rates to Rise: How Much?

VUONS, Jakarta – PT Jasamarga Transjawa plans to increase the toll rates for the Jakarta-Cikampek and Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Road after the presidential election (2024). The plan to raise toll rates was announced by the company through its official Instagram account.

“Hello JM friends, we have some latest information for you toll road users, especially on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the Mohamed Bin Zayed Elevated Road,” wrote the @official.jmtransjawa account, as quoted on Monday (19/2/2024).
The plan to increase toll rates is based on the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Decree Number: 250/KPTS/M2024. However, the timing of the implementation and the amount of the toll rate increase for the MBZ toll road have not been mentioned.

Furthermore, PT Jasamarga Transjawa has not disclosed the reasons for the increase in toll rates for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the MBZ Elevated Road.

“In the near future, there will be an adjustment to the toll rates for the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and the Mohamed Bin Zayed Elevated Road,” the company wrote.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa also urged the public to continue monitoring the company’s official Instagram account for information on the adjustment of toll rates for the MBZ toll road.

“Stay tuned on the @official.jmtransjawa account for the next information regarding the toll rate adjustment. Also, share this information with your family and friends to keep them informed,” the company said.

MBZ Elevated Road Name
Previously, the government officially changed the name of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road or the Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road to the Mohamed Bin Zayed Elevated Road. This name change was ratified at a ceremony at the entrance to Km 10A Junction Cikunir on Monday (12/4/2021) at 08.00 WIB.

The Mohamed Bin Zayed Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Road stretches 36.84 kilometers from Jakarta to Cikampek, starting from Km 10A Cikunir to Km 46 in West Karawang.

Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had assigned him and Minister Basuki to officially inaugurate the Mohamed Bin Zayed Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Road, which was named after the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Vice Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“Starting this morning, Minister Basuki and I, on behalf of President Jokowi, officially changed the name of the Elevated Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to the MBZ Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Toll Road,” said Pratikno at Km 10A Junction Cikunir on Monday (12/4).

Furthermore, he stated that the naming of the MBZ Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Toll Road is a gesture of gratitude to the UAE Government for naming one of its strategic roads after President Jokowi.
